I've always enjoyed the Sci-Fi genre but found a new appreciation for it as a teen.
The Sci-Fi genre is also an umbrella term holding many other genres within it.

which typically deals with imaginative and futuristic concepts such as advanced science and technology,
space exploration, time travel, parallel universes, extraterrestrial life,
sentient artificial intelligence, cybernetics, certain forms of immortality, and the singularity.
